This week, Bob Benyo’s limited-edition purple Rolls Royce was stolen from his garage in Miami; he is currently making every effort to get it back.

The owner of a limited-edition purple Rolls Royce, which was taken during a luxury automobile raid in a neighborhood in North Miami, has pledged to track it down and return it.

Aerial Banners president Bob Benyo will do anything to get his 2016 Rolls-Royce Wraith back. The “very special” automobile, one of just six produced in that color, was taken from the house at around 3 p.m., as shown on surveillance video.

The thugs, wearing white T-shirts, were seen exiting a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan before running up to Mr Benyo’s driveway. They then entered his garage by breaking into the left door. The car’s owner said the thieves took the keys that were hanging up on the wall and then took off with the rare luxury car, which is worth over $200,000 (£163,400).

But Mr Benyo has not given up and decided to hire banner plane pilot Rob Maverick Ramirez to fly above South Florida on Friday afternoon with a sign that read: “Stolen purple Rolls-Royce-reward.” The sign included his phone number, as he said: “I’m an open book. Call me. Find my car, get a reward.”

Talking about the burglary, he said: “They took the key out of my Aston Martin. We think they were trying to take that also, since there was two of them and one guy driving the getaway car.” Mr Benyo said he worked hard to purchase these cars, and added the Rolls Royce was a gift for his wife to celebrate their anniversary.

He said: “My wife deserved that car. It was anniversary gift. I worked my a*s off my entire life to get the things that I have, just to have somebody come steal them? I wish I was home when they came.” He told 7News his family were home when the theft took place but none of them were harmed.

Mr Benyo said he believes the crooks likely followed his wife and their kids home on Thursday before robbing their car. He said the criminals also stole the family’s sense of security as he explained: “It’s a violation of privacy. My kids and my wife were right inside that door. This is like a home invasion. Thank God nobody came inside.”

He added: “Why take a purple Rolls-Royce? Go steal a black car, if you are going to steal something! How are you going to drive that around? You got a nice ride now give it back.”

In a message to the robbers, he said: “Never give up, never surrender. I want that car back. When I put my mind to something, I don’t stop. I will find that car.

“And get a job. I mean, seriously. What’s the saying? Crime doesn’t pay? Eventually, you get caught.”
