Incredibly Rare 1970 Ford Ranchero Gt Emerges With Special Headlights, 1 Of 1

If you’re in the market for a rare classic and wouldn’t mind paying a small fortune for it, this 1970 Ford Ranchero GT is certainly an intriguing model.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to determine the obvious. The Ranchero comes in great shape, with the Calypso Coral finish looking absolutely fabulous. However, this wasn’t always the paint on its body, as the truck rolled off the assembly lines painted in Bright Gold metallic paint.

eBay seller maxwell2755 says a previous owner repainted the Ranchero, turning it into an award-winning contraption whose condition has already been rewarded with three awards at local car shows.

The interior has also been customized not only with NOS parts, including a console shift plate and an ashtray but also with custom upgrades like a Rocket Tachometer and Vintage air conditioning. You’ll also get a Bluetooth stereo system – I still don’t think that such new-generation tech has anything to do with classic cars, but considering this Ranchero is supposed to be a unique build, they fit the project like a glove.

The engine propelling the wheels is a 351C four-barrel V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It comes with significant mechanical upgrades, including an Edelbrock carburetor, MSD distributor and aluminum Griffin radiator, and a Borgeson steering box.

The owner shared a detailed list of all upgrades on eBay, and if you’re interested in this Ranchero, you should check it out before committing to a purchase.

Now, let’s talk about how rare this Ranchero is.

The Marti report reveals some very intriguing numbers. This Ranchero GT is one of only 14 with this combination of paint and trim codes, and one of 190 with the same engine and transmission configuration.

As if these figures weren’t enough to make the Ranchero GT a compelling purchase, this Ranchero GT is also a unique model. The Marti report indicates that it’s the only Ranchero GT with hideaway headlamps. Unfortunately, the repaint eliminated one of the rare features, as only 9 Ranchero GTs rolled off the assembly lines with the Bright Gold metallic paint.

As I said earlier, this Ranchero GT needs a new home, but whoever wants the truck should be ready to spend a small fortune on it. This makes sense, not only because the Ranchero comes in great shape but also thanks to how rare it is. It’s a unique Ranchero GT, and I’m certain this is a solid reason for collectors to check their bank accounts.

The owner will let this Ranchero GT go for $59,100, but they also enabled the Make Offer button for further negotiations. It’s parked in Phoenix, Arizona, and it should be able to drive anywhere, considering its fantastic condition.
